July Family of the Month: Ascolese-Steinberg
Joachim Steinberg (42), Emily “Ryan” Ascolese (39), Avigdor Ascolese-Steinberg “Avi” (3), and Oliver the cat (age 8). Joachim is from New York City and Ryan is from the greater Cincinnati area. They met in law school and moved to San Francisco in 2013/2014, respectively.
Mazel Tov to Our Gan Keshet Friends!
Last Friday, June 21st, Gan Keshet celebrated a tremendous milestone as they graduated from The Congregation Beth Sholom Family Preschool. The children spread their wings and flew through a keshet (rainbow) in Koret Hall, signifying their transition from Beth Sholom to new adventures.

This year, our annual Congregation Beth Sholom Fundraiser celebrated San Francisco’s diverse Jewish community and our outstanding honoree, Sandy Edwards. We are proud to honor Sandy's devotion to CBS and her numerous contributions to the broader Jewish community.
Daniel Adam Bennett’s Bar Mitzvah
Daniel Adam Bennett will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Wednesday, June 12. He will read from Parshat Jethro, and his drash will discuss the Ten Commandments. Following the service, we'll celebrate together at the Kiddush.

Orr Beharav’s Bar Mitzvah
Orr Beharav will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, June 8. He will read from Parashat Bamidbar and discuss the moral of God’s census of the Israelites in his drash. Following the service, we’ll celebrate together with a Kiddush Lunch.
June Family of the Month: Paz-Priel
Ido, Adie, Roey, Yoav, Yonatan, and Talia are the Paz-Priel family from Mill Valley! Roey (26) is a Machine Learning engineer, Yoav (23) is in law school, Yonatan (18) is an Electrical Engineering/Computer Science student and Talia (16) is a sophomore at Tamalpais High school.
Beth Sholom in Israel: Daily Perspectives
