CHESED V’TZEDEK
Please join us in expressing our Jewish values of chesed (loving kindness) and tzedek (justice) through ACTION, while building community, learning, and having fun.
Our Chesed v’Tzedek Committee meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. to plan food drives, educational opportunities, and community events. We would love to have you be a part of our communal effort to give back and make positive change.

Interfaith Winter Shelter
Live the mitzvah of tzedakah and help feed those in need!
On Monday February 16th, Beth Sholom members will be cooking and serving dinner for the Interfaith Winter Shelter. In providing a safe, clean, warm, and respectful respite from inclement weather and home-cooked meals served with love, the shelter offers essential relief to up to 50 guests per night, who otherwise call the streets their home. We need people to help cook in the Beth Sholom kitchen from 1:00–4:00 p.m. and people to serve food from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church near Japantown! If interested, please email chesed@bethsholomsf.org, and let us know which shift you would like to be a part of — thanks!
