ADULT EDUCATION

Congregation Beth Sholom is a place of lifelong learning.

Congregation Beth Sholom offers classes, casual learning opportunities, and social gatherings for adults designed to bring Jewish values, culture, rituals, and texts into our everyday lives. We expand our social and cultural horizons with visiting Jewish scholars, professors, Judaic art and photography exhibits, Jewish authors, political pundits, artists, journalists, rabbis, and more.

  • Weekly Torah Study

Join us on Zoom every Tuesday morning at 8:15 a.m. to look at the weekly parsha and delve into the teachings that our text has brought us throughout the past millennia, and to today.

Weekly discussions will be led by CBS congregant, Marilyn Heiss, with an occasional teaching from the Rabbis. You're also welcome to sign-in early and catch some morning minyan!

  • CBS Authors Series

The goal of CBS Authors Series is to educate, enlighten, and enrich our community by exposing participants to the works of selected writers, some of whom may be congregants, authors of Jewish-themed works, or others who have created works of fiction or nonfiction.
