March Family of the Month: Karpel-Epshteyn

This month’s spotlight is on Gene Epshteyn and Eyal Karpel, and their twin boys Ben and Adam (4.8 years old). Let’s not forget their long-haired Chihuahua, Ronny, who is 10 years old.

Their connection to Beth Sholom goes back to 2019 when they became members after having such a wonderful experience with the Tot Shabbat program.

The Karpel-Epshteyn’s favorite Beth Sholom events are the High holidays (including the kids programs) and the Chanukah party.

When asked ‘What does your family love most about Beth Sholom?’ They responded: ”the CBS pre-school, including Dale and the teachers; the Jewish holiday events, Friday get-togethers, and of course all the wonderful families we've met along the way”.

The favorite Jewish tradition of the Karpel-Epshteyn family is the weekly shabbat dinner with family and friends at their home. The boys love to cook in the kitchen.

Fun fact about the Karpel-Epshteyns: in addition to English, they speak Hebrew and Russian at home and would love to one day start a meet-up for Hebrew speaking kids at CBS.
