Jacob Mai Nguyen Glantz’s Bar Mitzvah

Jacob Mai Nguyen Glantz will be celebrating his Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, May 20, 2023. He will be reading the Torah portion Bamidbar.

Jacob’s family has been attending services at Beth Sholom for four generations, and he enjoys attending Shabbat morning service with his brother, father, and grandmother. 

In his free time, Jacob enjoys drawing and painting landscapes. He enjoys making clothes for his stuffed animals, planning his own imaginary vacations in his head, cooking, and reviewing people’s food, even if his opinion isn't exactly asked for. He attends Aptos Middle School and will attend Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in the Fall.

Jacob would like to thank his teachers and tutor, Marilyn Heiss, Rabbi Amanda Russell, and Rabbi Elisheva Sachs for teaching him to read Hebrew, guiding him through the Bar Mitzvah process, and helping him write his D’var Torah. He would like to thank all of his family and friends who have helped make this journey possible.
