Ruby Lewis’s Bat Mitzvah

My name is Ruby Lewis and I’m in the 7th Grade at The Brandeis School of San Francisco. I love to play basketball, soccer and volleyball. I play on my school’s teams and club soccer outside of school. I am a very big Philadelphia sports fanatic, thanks to my dad and brother! I love to get sushi and boba with my brother and sister, Jonah and Simona and going to Disneyland with my family.

My parsha is Tetzaveh which talks about the Ner Tamid, priests’ clothing and rituals. I am looking forward to sharing my point of view on this parsha. While studying for my Bat Mitzvah has been stressful, it has been enjoyable at the same time.

I’d like to thank Rabbi Russell and my tutor, Sandra Menacham, for helping me prepare for my Bat Mitzvah. I’d like to thank my parents, Ari and Julie and my siblings for supporting me through this process.  I look forward to seeing you at my Bat Mitzvah on March 8th/8 Adar!
