WE ARE

HIGH HOLY DAYS 5785

At Beth Sholom, we are committed to offering meaningful programming for everyone during the High Holy Days.

From traditional services, to meditation, to spiritual outdoor experiences, to community dinners, to musical prayer, to multi-sensory childcare programming — we welcome everyone to find belonging and transformation as we enter 5785.

This year, our theme is “Anachnu: We Are.” We are individuals, each with distinct opinions and experiences, yet we are all connected through past, present, and future. We are the Jewish people. We are one. We. Anachnu.

Elul 5784: We are Preparing

Join us for a month of preparation, reflection and learning. The work of teshuvah — returning to ourselves — and the importance of community is more important than ever. We hope you will join us for these meaningful encounters…

Health and Safety Guidelines

Beth Sholom continues to recommend that our congregants stay up to date on all vaccines and booster shots (Covid, flu, etc.), for all who are eligible. Masking is welcome and encouraged but is not required. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms – especially fever – we ask, please, that you remain at home.

Ticket Check-In and Will Call

We will not be mailing paper tickets this year in an attempt to make check-in smoother and reduce our use of natural resources. Members in good standing do not need tickets or to register in advance. Members can purchase tickets for their guests online and they will be added to the check-in list. Check in will be located just inside the main entrance on 14th Avenue.

Security

Security guards and Beth Sholom staff will be stationed around the building and at the entrance to welcome guests. Bags may be checked as you enter to increase our ability to create a safe environment in which to gather and celebrate the Holy Days together.

Public Transportation

There are several bus lines (1, 2, 28, and 38/38R) with stops within a couple blocks of Congregation Beth Sholom. The Metropolitan Transportation System’s website, www.511.org, provides directions to Beth Sholom from anywhere in the Bay Area.
