Anti-semitism and Identity Politics on the University Campus

Join us for a preview of Professor Marc Dollinger’s next book, a memoir of his efforts to combat anti-Semitism on two college campuses. He will speak about how and why hatred toward Jews is so prevalent there and how Jewish students (and faculty) can express their full Jewish identities.
Dr. Marc Dollinger is a professor and research chair in Jewish Studies and Social Responsibility in the Jewish Studies department of San Francisco State University. Long active in the Bay Area Jewish community, Dr. Dollinger was a board president of Brandeis-Hillel Day School and the Jewish Community High School of the Bay. He has also served on the boards of Jewish LearningWorks, URJ Camp Newman, Brandeis Marin Jewish Day School, the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center, the Osher Marin JCC, and Hamaqom/Lehrhaus Judaica. Dr. Dollinger currently serves on the board of the Jewish Community Federation. His academic research into racism, anti-Semitism and Jewish social justice has been featured on PBS, NBC and CNN.
