About Distant Cousins

Distant Cousins is an acclaimed Los Angeles-based trio known for its vibrant fusion of folk, rock, and pop, creating music that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. The band, comprising Duvid Swirsky, Ami Kozak, and Dov Rosenblatt, has built a devoted following with their signature 3-part vocal harmonies, uplifting lyrics, and versatile sound that fits everything from intimate acoustic performances to large concert stages. Their songs like "Are You Ready" and "On My Way," have appeared in prominent films and ad campaigns, while newer hits like “Here & Now” reflect their spiritual themes of connection and presence in a fast-paced world. They were recently chosen to write the original soundtrack for Dew Drop Diaries, a DreamWorks animated series on Netflix, after having written a handful of TV theme songs.

With backgrounds in bands like Moshav and Blue Fringe, the members’ longtime close-knit friendship shine through, as they seamlessly play songs in both English and Hebrew, contributing to a one-of-a-kind spirited live show. Distant Cousins recently released their EP Out of the Darkness, a 6 song collection of original songs based on Tehillim as an emotional response to Oct.7th and the band will join Matisyahu on tour this December, after touring with him this past summer.
